Taught over nine full days, this course is open to (i) yoga instructors of all yoga traditions who have taught at least three years or (ii) graduates of the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training. Participants must have a regular personal practice and be ready to move deeper within themselves and assist their students in the discovery of the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga.

Ana Forrest designed this program to be highly experiential. The training includes chanting, pranayama, intensive yoga practice, working with injuries, addressing the needs and challenges of students, mentoring your own practice and needs, and learning the principles of class sequencing for advanced poses. You will also be taught how to work with students at different levels and abilities and with different body types.

Hands and Feet Connection with the Earth:
Friday September 26 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This workshop invites you to slow down, to breathe deeper and to feel the body.

Physically, this workshop concentrates primarly on standing positions and secondly on inversions with the aim to feel the hands and feet and to keep in the contact with the earth. Mentally and emotionally, you will learn to be present and to be in the moment. That will help you to find inner peace and to be more grounded.

Hips: joy, passion and emotions
Saturday September 27. Part 1 1:00pm - 3:30 pm  Part 2 4:30 - 7:00pm

The first part of this workshop is focused on hip openers - to set free the energy in the hips. The intention is to let go, let flow the emotions and to rediscover joy and passion. With the help of intentional Forrest Yoga sequencing, the energy blocks in the hips will be released.

The second part of this workshop will focus on exploring sensuality, joy and passion. You will have the chance to ask questions in order to understand Forrest Yoga from the cognitive side. There will be a simple asana practice to help get emotionally deeper into it.

These two workshop build on each other. We recommend you to take both parts. This is an excellent workshop for couples.

The Jawbone: Express your personal truth

This workshop will focus on relaxation of the neck and jawbone, which is a "basic move“ in Forrest Yoga. Both the neck and jawbone are related to the expression of our personal truth, which is sometimes challenging for us. Backward bends are used to open the chest, throat, and jawbone. This evolves the courage to express what is important to us and what our heart says. We will also use sounds, to loosen enegy blocks.


All of these workshops are physically intensive, but beginners with some yoga experience, and a willingness to work, are welcome.

This workshop begins with a 2 hour Forrest Yoga intensive focused on the topic of how to work with injuries in the arms - including problems with wrists, elbows and shoulder joints which are common problems of our times. Yoga is followed by a short break then a 3.5 hour training on how to use Forrest Yoga to address common pain symptoms for wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Sunday October 19: The Low Back & Hips: Treating Tight or Injured Low Back and Hip Joints

This workshop begins with a 2 hour Forrest Yoga intensive focused on the topic of how to work with issues in the low back and hips - including injuries and tightness, which most of us have. Yoga is followed by a short break then a 3.5 hour training on how to use Forrest Yoga to address common pain symptoms for low back and hips. You will learn Hands-on Assists and Bodywork Techniques with partners, the relevant anatomy, and discuss the art of Forrest Yoga sequencing and helpful ways to modify poses for students with pain or injuries.

These are great workshops for teachers of any traditions, but it is also very useful to students who want to learn more about injuries and how to yoga can help with them.

Brian is known as the “Yoga Teacher with Healing Hands.” His passion is to teach people how to use Bodywork and Yoga to relieve pain. He has taught Forrest Yoga & Bodywork for the past 12 years throughout the United States, Canada, Asia, and Europe.

 What is true strength? Heidi believes it is the courage to accept what is actually happening and then respond appropriately. You will have an opportunity to find and work with your edge of physical strength and mental acuity by literally climbing the walls in this Forrest Yoga intensive class. We will find our center and then reorient ourselves with breath and asana to align with our true strength.
This workshop is intermediate/advanced and not appropriate for someone with severe shoulder injury.

Heidi's classes are unique combining of psychology, meditation and yoga.

Later in the Afternoon Heidi will also be teaching a class on how to Cultivate Connection through meditation, attention and energy

Making The Unconscious Conscious - part 1
This workshop focuses on hip openers and inversions in order to explore ourselves further and to deepen into who we are. The emphasis is on what is happening in the moment, what is moving to the foreground and what is opening up. The workshop invites you to develop curiosity, so that you can feel what is happening physically and emotionally in every moment. 

Making The Unconscious Conscious - part 2
In the afternoon we’ll explore the theme of “Making the Unconscious Conscious” through partner and movement exercises, a light asana practice and guided writing. Please bring pen and paper and wear yoga clothing. To get the most out of the workshop and to have a more meaningful experience, we recommend to attend the morning in order to participate in the afternoon. 

Metamorphosis Through Forrest Yoga. 
This workshop stresses the transformational power of Forrest Yoga. We can only transform ourselves if we wholeheartedly accept who we are. The paradox of change states that we can’t become somebody else, but we can become more fully who we are and be more fully invested in our current situation instead of wishing for things to be different continuously. Transformation and change naturally come out of this state of acceptance. The physical focus lies on standing poses and inversion.

Description
The Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training is a 27-day yoga teacher training that includes 22 days of intensives (group practices) and teacher training exercises, a 3-day Anatomy Course, and a 2-day Business Course.  It is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers, experienced teachers, and yoga students who want to work deeper within themselves.  The Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training delivers a solid foundation in the art of teaching Forrest Yoga and is the first step to becoming a Forrest Yoga Certified Teacher.

Tuition
The total tuition for the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training is $4,375 US.  That amount includes $4,000 US base tuition for the core curriculum and $375 US for the Anatomy Course.  A deposit of $2,000 US is due upon registration and the remaining $2,000 US is due 30 calendar days prior to the start of the Teacher Training, or when the training becomes full. Your spot in the training is held only upon receipt of your deposit and is guaranteed upon receipt of your full payment.

If you have already attended a Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training, you may be eligible for a $800 US discount.
