You are eligible for this 100 hour course if you have already taken a 200 hour training.

Do you want pragmatic, concrete tools to help your students with injuries, whether in group classes or in private sessions? Do you need help cultivating your skills as private practitioner?

In this 100-hour professional training program we will do a deep dive into common injuries you will encounter among the general population, and yoga-specific injuries your students may develop as a result of the practice.

We’ll emphasize private practice, and you will learn more about the art of working skillfully one-on-one, and how that relates to your work within group classes.

This training will include:

Daily group practice to experience classes designed for particular injuries
Weekly anatomy study of the body parts that correlate with the injury
Weekly focus on specific injuries
Help understanding the difference between “common” injuries of modernity, and “common” injuries specific to yoga practitioners
Education about poses, exercises and techniques to support the healing of specific injuries
Education about healing hand’s on assists, their technique and effects
Observation of one-on-one healing sessions with “real” students
Learning how to take session notes and to create a case study
Ongoing one-on-one work with a partner: you will give and receive private sessions in class, weekly
Feedback about your techniques, ideas, and development as a Yoga Clinician
Learning how to react quickly to new information about injuries
Education in a blueprint or session template that you can reliably use repeatedly to get quality results, and adapt quickly and easily on the fly as your clients require
Help defining the differences and similarities between your private session approach and your in-class approach
Interviews, discussion, and session work with “real” subjects

Forrest Yoga is specifically designed to help people move the trauma of everyday living out of their body in an intelligent gradual way. The system also addresses more acute trauma over time. Backbends encourage us to physiologically open up the whole front-line of the body. From the feet all the way up to the crown of the head.

For most of us this is the absolute opposite to what our bodies spend a large percentage of their time doing. We sit, we drive, we watch TV, we use our mobile phones & computers etc… All of these actions cause collapse in the front mid-body and often our breathing — maybe even our dreams/ambitions/self-esteem.

In this workshop, come and enjoy the sensations of space and length in the torso, begin the process of opening up to what is possible on and off the mat, and importantly, find out how your legs will help you step forward with confidence.

Together we’ll explore the exhilarating backbends that juice up your energy and get the endorphins — the happy hormones — flowing. Both key elements of stepping into the best version of yourself.

The first part of the day will look at principles of Forrest Yoga that allow a safe way to work with backbends. Explore how to create space in the core and connect to the feet and legs, so that backbends can be deepened in a therapeutic way. On a physical level the workshop looks at decompressing the lower back and at opening up the middle and upper back. Emotionally, feelings of vulnerability and compassion are explored. The Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training is a 27-day yoga teacher training that includes 22 days of intensives (group practices) and teacher training exercises, a 3-day Anatomy Course, and a 2-day Business Course.  It is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers, experienced teachers, and yoga students who want to work deeper within themselves.  The Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training delivers a solid foundation in the art of teaching Forrest Yoga and is the first step to becoming a Forrest Yoga Certified Teacher.

The total standard tuition for this Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training is $5,175 US.  That amount includes the core curriculum and the Anatomy Course. 

If you opt to pay in 2 payments, a 50% deposit of $2,587.50 US is due upon registration. The remaining $2,587.50 US is due 30 calendar days prior to the start of the Teacher Training or when the training becomes full, whichever comes first. Taught over nine full days, this course is open to (i) yoga instructors of all yoga traditions who have taught at least three years or (ii) graduates of the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training. Participants must have a regular personal practice and be ready to move deeper within themselves and assist their students in the discovery of the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga.

Ana Forrest designed this program to be highly experiential. The training includes chanting, pranayama, intensive yoga practice, working with injuries, addressing the needs and challenges of students, mentoring your own practice and needs, and learning the principles of class sequencing for advanced poses. You will also be taught how to work with students at different levels and abilities and with different body types.

In order to receive the discount, we must receive a payment of the FULL Early Bird tuition of $2,200. The Early Bird discount ends June 20th, 2016.

The total tuition for this Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training is $2,400.  That amount includes the core curriculum, but does not include food or accommodations.  A deposit of $1,200 is due upon registration if you do not choose the Early Bird Tuition. The remaining $1,200 is due 30 calendar days prior to the start of the Training, or when the Training becomes full. Your spot in the Training is held only upon receipt of your deposit and is guaranteed upon receipt of your full payment.

If you have already completed a Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training, you may be eligible for a $400 US discount.

Description
The Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training is a 27-day yoga teacher training that includes 22 days of intensives (group practices) and teacher training exercises, a 3-day Anatomy Course, and a 2-day Business Course.  It is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers, experienced teachers, and yoga students who want to work deeper within themselves.  The Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training delivers a solid foundation in the art of teaching Forrest Yoga and is the first step to becoming a Forrest Yoga Certified Teacher.

If you have already successfully attended a Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training, you may be eligible for a 20% discount. This discount is only applicable on the standard tuition, not the Early Bird discount. Military Personnel including Active Duty, family members, retirees and veterans are eligible for a 10% discount off the standard tuition. Discounts cannot be combined.
